Our Goal:
At Remote Site Technologies our goal is customer satisfaction. Even with best quality of equipment things can very occasionally go wrong. In such a rare event we'll work with you to get the fastest possible resolution.
Consumer guarantees:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Warranty Duration:
All goods sold come with manufacturers warranty.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, new items have a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase, all accessories and batteries (sold with a device or sold as a separate item) have a 6 month warranty period.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Ex-Demo/ and Ex-hire devices have a 3 month warranty from the date of purchase. Ex-hire accessories have a 30 day warranty from the date of purchase.
Warranty Limitations:
Warranties will be invalid if the product has been subject to abnormal use or conditions, exposure to moisture, dampness, excessive dust, extremes of temperature or other such environmental conditions.
Warranty will also be voided if the product has been subject to unauthorised repairs, modifications or connections, has been tampered with, has been altered, installed or connected incorrectly or used in other than its intended use, the serial number has been removed or altered, misuse/abuse, spills of food or liquids, corrosion, accidental damage.
Furthermore, warranty will not apply if you did not notify us of the alleged defect during the applicable warranty period and returned the product immediately.
Warranties are not transferrable
"DOA" (Dead On Arrival):
In the extremely unlikely event an item arrives wholly non-functional, we will work with you and the manufacturer to have this replaced or refunded. For an item to be considered "DOA" the product needs to be inspected upon receipt, reported and returned immediately, in original packaging and unused condition.
Warranty return:
Before returning a unit for warranty, repair or replacement, please contact us for a "Return Authority" number and return details. Items returned without approval will be sent back to the sender at their expense.
No fault found:
If an item has been found to be not faulty after inspection and testing, a $154 fee may be charged.
"Change of Mind" policy:
We do not refund, or swap product due to "change of mind", "no longer require" or "I wasn't aware"
We may occasionally and at our discretion agree to an exchange of a product with 14 days of the original date of purchase. Where is is agreed to and approved, the product must be returned in original packaging (including any screen protectors etc.) and unused condition. A 20% restocking fee will apply on all returned items.
Unfortunately, customised or special orders cannot be considered for an exchange.
